Overview:
Small but mighty, this knife is great for precision-cutting tasks, like peeling and coring fruits, deveining shrimps, slicing garlic or scoring pastries. Many chefs consider it the second most important knife to own besides the chef’s knife. Be in control of these very specific tasks with this most versatile, multi-task knife. Light-weight and easy to hold, olive wood paring knife has a 9 cm or 12 cm long, straight cutting-edge blade.
Presentation:
blade size: 12 cm
Unlike other kitchen tasks, cutting, chopping, slicing and dicing are still mostly done by hand. While many of us have modernised our kitchens with high-tech toasters, smoothie machines and slow cookers, possibly the most ancient device of all, the knife, remains.
Felix has been making knives in Solingen, the "City of Blades", since 1790 and still today stays true to its centuries-old tradition. It takes more than 45 steps to make a perfectly forged Zepter knife out of a high-quality, single piece of steel. The outcome is second to none in quality, function and design of knives.
Forged from a single piece of X50 CrMoV15 steel, the hand-made blade of the Olive Wood collection is of superior quality, durability and sharpness guaranteeing maximum efficiency for many years. A smaller-diameter handle of beautiful golden yellow colour provides a balance of style and functionality even for smaller hands in order to have a firm grip while performing a range of tasks. Olive heartwood is known for its antibacterial properties, making this knife more hygienic for use. With a little treatment from time to time, the natural wood will retain its structure and intensive colour for years to come.
Bring a touch of Mediterranean spirit to your kitchen!
